Precious - Life is precious
Claireece, named Precious, wants fashionable clothes, and that she finally finds a friend. Eventually she would like to appear in a music video, as a star. Normal girls dreams. The chances of getting something like this could, however, are not bad. Precious is sixteen, black and overweight. She lives in the middle in Harlem at the edge of society. The unemployed mother who spends her days smoking and boozing in front of the TV is the only precious daughter - expensive - because it has the right to social assistance. The father had abused the girl sexually for years and now Precious is pregnant for the second time, and therefore fly from High School. But because they have noticed a sharp mind, she is taught at an alternative education project. Under the influence of a caring teacher Precious learns to read and write, so: he expresses himself.
